Before You Read- Choose one of the following activities to complete before you begin reading the book.

        1.  The book Koko's Kitten is about a gorilla named Koko.  Before you begin reading the book, find out how much you know about gorillas by printing out the K-W-L chart and filling in the information.  You can find some information about Gorillas by clicking here.

        2.  In the book Koko's Kitten, Koko wants a kitten.  In your journal, write about one of your pets and how you take care of it.  If you do not have a pet, write about a pet you would like to have and how you would take care of it.  You can find information about pets by clicking here.

While You Read
 
        Fill out the Activity Sheet with the different ways Koko communicates with her trainer.  Give the method, then give an example.

After You Read

Complete the quiz using the book Koko's Kitten.  Click on the link, enter you name in the space and then click "Submit."  If you are not on the class list, click "Add Me to This Class."  Read the directions and click "Continue."  Once you have completed the quiz, click on "Submit Quiz" to view your results.  When you are through, click "Finish."
