-Paper and pencil

Before You Read:

In this book you will read about a Nile crocodile named Bill. Crocodiles use all of their different body parts to aid in their survival. To see the functions and what a Nile crocodile looks like, click here. To learn some interesting facts about the Nile crocodile check this site out. Now would be a good time to discuss with a partner three new things you have learned about crocodiles.

After You Read:

Now that you have read about Bill and Pete's adventure, it is time to test your knowledge. If you are having trouble answering some of the questions, remember it is okay to go back to the book to look for answers.

Beyond What You Read:

Here are two activities that you can participate in now that you have read Bill and Pete to the Rescue. First, you can play Bill and Pete Jeopardy. Then, find some interesting facts about a certain animal or endangered animal on the World Wildlife Fund site. Send a postcard to a friend (or us) about the information that you found to be the most important.
