Before you read "Daisy and the Monster", by Jane
Simmons, please complete the following activities:
1. Visit a farm web site to learn about the different animals that can be found on a farm.
2. Print out and complete the KWL chart by listing the things that you know about farms and farm animals. You will also list the information that you want to learn about farms and the farms animals. Next, you will read the book, Daisy and the Monster. Complete the chart by filling in the information that you gathered from reading this book.
Response Activity:
After you read "Daisy and the Monster" choose
one of the following:
1. Visit the following web site to find animal masks that relate to farm animals. Print out the masks and act out parts of the story with a group of friends.
